January 3, 2019 Mitsumine Shrine
"Mimifuji Shrine"When Emperor Yamato Takeru was sent to the eastern provinces to pacify the country, he was so impressed by the beauty of the area around Mitake that he built a shrine there and enshrined Izanagi-no-mikoto and Izanami-no-mikoto.
Mitake Shrine brings great power to those who pave their own way. It is a shrine that boosts the luck of those who can face loneliness and difficulties alone and those who have a strong will to achieve their goals.
To the east of the shrine are Mt. Kumotori, Mt. Shiraiwa, and Mt. Myohogadake. These three peaks are beautifully connected, which is why the shrine was named "Mitsumine" (three peaks).
