What is a floating mechanism?

With conventional lenses, the focus was adjusted by moving the lens group back and forth according to the change in the shooting distance, so it was susceptible to various aberrations when the magnification changed. In the case of the floating mechanism, it is possible to minimize various aberrations due to changes in magnification by changing the distance between the lens groups inside the lens.
