Catadioptric lens – 360° top and side view with just one camera
The PCCD series is a lens that can capture images of the outer surface and top of a workpiece up to φ25×17mmD from 360° directions with one camera while being away from the workpiece. The innovative optical design based on the catadioptric system makes it more compact and lighter than the PC series, making it ideal for incorporating into equipment. The PCCD series is ideal for inspecting medicine containers, plastic caps, preforms, bottlenecks, screws and other parts with threads.

Cassegrain optical system
An astronomical telescope that is based on a reflecting telescope and incorporates a correction lens to correct aberrations is called a catadioptric telescope. Catadioptric is a compound word of catoptric (reflective optics) and dioptric (refractive optics). Various methods have been devised by combining the base optical system and the correcting lens.
